Description : |
PTFE (Polytetrafluroethylene
(is a fluorocarbon Polymer with outstanding electrical, thermal
and chemical properties. The operating temperature of PTFE is
from 75 C to 250 C.
PTFE is completely resistant to attack by all chemical with the
exception of molten alkali metals and a few flurine compounds at
elevated temperatures and pressures. It is unaffected by
lubricants, hydraulic fluids, aircraft rocket fuel and
atmospheric conditions.
The dielectric constant of PTFE is largely independent of
temperature and its surface will not have a carbon 'track' when
subject to arcing. It also has the best dielectric properties of
any known flexible insulator. |
| HOOK - UP
wires : |
Equipment
or hook-up wires are small insulated wires which are used
extensively in all types of electrical apparatus. Originally
developed for use in aircraft PTFE equipment wires, due to their
high performance and reliability, are now widely used throughout
the industry, where environment condition preclude the use of
ordinary PVC insulated wires. The small size of PTFE insulated
equipment wire coupled with high voltage rating saves valuable
weight and space in miniaturization and the high
temperature limits of PTFE enable soldered connections to be
made without damaging adjacent wires.
We manufacture PTFE (Teflon) insulated silver plated copper wire
as per American Military Specification Mil- W- 16878 D. Our PTFE
wires are as per JSS specification 51004.
These PTFE (Teflon) insulated hook-up wires are manufactured in
different sizes and different voltages. We manufacture these
wires according to American Wire Guage system only.
Chart showing equivalent AWG size for a given SWG size is given
in Table. II, Normal size of wire varies from AWG 32 to AWG 12
in single strand as well as multistrand. Insulation thickness of
these wires depend upon voltage ratings. Geneally three
different voltage ratings are adopted for these wires. Different
specification denotes different codes for each type of voltage
ratings. |
